The Jamboree is completely free and open to the public. A cooperative effort by several wildlife and conservation organizations, it is a full day of safe, family-oriented outdoor activities. In its five years, it has grown every year with attendance nearing the 1,000 mark.
Not familiar with the Outdoor Youth Jamboree? Here’s some of what you may find at these events, held annually the second Saturday in May. The Outdoor Youth Jamboree is a full day of safe, family-oriented outdoor activities at Big Hollow Recreation Area near Sperry, IA. It's completely free and open to the public. Some of the activities include target shooting, fishing, boating, canoeing, and much more.
The 2020 event will be held May 16th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. As always, the event is 100% free and open to the public. Bring the whole family!

Come enjoy the outdoors with our 2019 Youth Jamboree! 100% free event.
Instructor-led shooting sports (shotgun, rifle, air rifle and archery)
Retriever demonstrations
Fishing
Fully guided boat tours of Big Hollow lake
Prizes, Giveaways, and a Free Lunch
Everything is 100% free! We provide everything from the fishing poles and bait, to the firearms and ammo. It truly is a whole-family event.
