A3: The Federation rules state that any brand target can be used for an ASA qualifier.....even targets with center 12s only.
The host club is responsible for supplying and setting targets.
We realize most clubs in Iowa have Rinehart targets.
We want the Iowa shooters to experience the ASA format so for this year the plan is for Tracy and I to supply the targets (McKenzie Targets) for the events.

Q4: Hi Mike and Tracy. I just want to confirm that an ASA membership is not required in order to shoot in one of the state qualifiers, but an ASA membership IS required to shoot in the Iowa ASA State Championship?

A4: That is correct!

Q5: Can I shoot in more than one state qualifier?

A5: You only need to shoot one state qualifier to qualify for the state championship. Just because you shoot one and qualify for the state championship does not mean that you cannot shoot other qualifiers. We award cash paybacks and shooters are still eligible to win cash awards at any and all state qualifiers.

Q6: What if I shoot in a multi-state qualifier?

A6: When you shoot a multi state qualifier you qualify for the ASA state championships in both states or in some instances 3 states.

Q7: How about the cash payouts?

A7: Last time we continued discussing state qualifiers and we mentioned entry fees.
Now let's talk about the cash payout for all $25.00 entry fees.
Here is how the cash payout is divided per class.

1-5 shooters in a class- 1 place (100% to 1st place)
6-10 shooters in a class - 2 places (split 70%/30%)
11-15 shooters in a class - 3 places (split 50%/30%/20%)
16-20 shooters in a class- 4 places (split 40%/30%/20%/10%)
21 and above shooters in a class - 5 places (split 33%/27%/20%/13%)
From a $25.00 entry fee $10 goes to the shooter payout, $10.00 goes to the host club and $5 goes to ASA.

For example:
Let's say there are 10 shooters in the Known 45 class. 10 shooters x $10.00 per shooter = $100.00 in the shooter payout for this class.
70% to 1st place = $70.00
30% to 2nd place = $30.00
